Established in Chicago, Illinois in 1995, American Independent Line (AIL) provides shippers and forwarders a high quality, cost effective transportation service.
AIL’s specialty is the inland and ocean transportation of oversize, heavy lift and special project cargoes moving from the United States to overseas destinations.
American Independent offers customers a flexible service for oversized cargo, either port to port or door to port - with a unique pricing concept of lump sum, all inclusive rates.
Initially, AIL offered service from the United States to Asia, Australia, and Europe but then expanded in 1998 by offering service to the Mediterranean, Middle East and South America.
To better serve East Coast and West Coast customers, American Independent expanded the New York office in 2005 and opened a San Francisco office in 2009.
